Obama Arrives In Denver to Receive Crown, I Mean -- Nomination

Democratic Presidential Nominee and World Renown Celebrity Barack Obama stepped off his plane today in royal splendor, eagerly awaiting to be named the Democratic Party's choice for president.

Obama was greeted by a throng of photographers and journalists, as well as millions of adoring fans. Many of them travelled from as far away as Mars just to get a glimpse of the candidate.

"Take me to your possible future leader," said C9x4+@, a Martian physician on sabbatical in Estes Park, Colorado.

At least 600,000 women fainted when Obama deplaned. Many were treated at area hospitals.

"We admitted 40,000 women at our hospital alone," said Dr. Seymour Hyney of Good Samaritan Hospital in East Denver. "Most were suffering from exposure. Apparently, Obama loosened his collar and unbuttoned a few shirt buttons. They just lost it."

As party officials plan their welcoming ceremony, others are debating whether to simply crown Obama "King Of America."

"We've got some experts looking into whether that would be constitutionally permissible," said Reid Tard, a party official. "I think we have a good argument for making him a monarch."
